The Trip

The trip will start May 7th 2015, in my town, in my country, Torrelodones, Spain. Its springtime, and though sounds typical, the thing that most captivate my senses when i try to fix the moment of departure, is the smell of flowers, fields, smelling that will accompany me towards Turkey, from where i write this lines.

There is not a specific purpose for this trip, beside my hobby for traveling and photography. I will film a documentary about the trip, and will engage humanitarian causes, either whilst traveling and in Spain, when the trip finishes. Its my intention to exhibit the pictures and donate all the money collected to a NGO.

I will travel by moto for the only reason that is my favorite mean of transport, for the typical good reasons of feeling freedom, versatility and price. The only other option i would had chosen, is a 4×4 camper, wich exceeded by far my budget.

My name is Jaime, and i was born in Madrid, but genetically i am 100% from Cantabria.

Its one of the most beautiful regions in the world. If happens that you visit Cantabria, dont miss Santander, Santoña and Liébana, the four cardinal points of my DNA.

La realización del viaje no tiene un motivo específico más que el de mi afición por viajar y la imagen. Grabaré un documental sobre mi viaje, y colaboraré con aquellas causas benéficas que me sea posible. Tanto sobre el terreno, como en España a mi vuelta, donde realizaré una exposición de fotos cuyos ingresos irán destinados íntegramente a una ONG.

Por delante circunvalar el mundo, no por circunvalarlo, es que no hay otra si quieres recorrer este pequeño planeta esférico en el que vivimos.

Salgo de España en dirección a Australia, por “abajo”, esto es, por Asia Central, el Sudeste Asiático y Australia.

El plan es terminar antes de Septiembre de 2018

El objetivo de esta web es múltiple. Tener un recuerdo del viaje. Despertar al mundo la curiosidad por el mundo. Animar a la gente a viajar, a conectarse, a mirar de otra manera, a ver, a vernos como lo que somos, un porrón de seres iguales que vive de manera un poco diferente en un paraíso.

El viaje lo realizaré en moto, por la simple razón de que es el vehículo que más me gusta, por las típicas buenas razones del sentimiento de libertad, el dinamismo, la polivalencia, el precio… La única otra alternativa que hubiera barajado, sería hacerlo en un camper todo terreno, pero el precio de este último me simplificó la elección.
